Ewen DeWitt, of Milford, was arrested around 11:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 9, on Minute Man Drive after receiving a call from the victim, said the Milford Police.
According to police, the victim left her home and was with a neighbor when officers arrived on the scene.
Investigating officers learned that DeWitt was allegedly involved in a physical domestic dispute with the victim and at one point he threw a large object at her while she was holding their infant, Milford Police said.
The victim 's cell phone was also destroyed which is why she left to report the incident from a different location.
DeWitt was charged with assault, risk of injury, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct.
He is being held on a $20,000 bond.
